Master the Arts of Makeup and Hairstyling in 10 months: A complete professional training

Our 10-month training program offers you the opportunity to become an expert in makeup and hairstyling by learning the basic techniques, as well as the latest trends in the fields of fashion, audiovisual, film, theater and stage.
The course also includes studio hairstyling classes to help you become a complete professional in the field.

Hairdressing makeup training program: Pro Makeup, Makeup Artist and Makeup Artist cycles for 9 months + hair training for 1 month.

Pedagogical objectives of the Make-up Artist/Hairstylist training

The objective of the 10-month professional Make-up Artist/Hairstylist training is to give you the necessary skills to become an experienced make-up artist/hairstylist in the Beauty, Fashion, Film and Theatre sectors.

It will allow you to :
master the skills necessary to become a versatile makeup artist/hairstylist
collaborate as a makeup artist/hairstylist in photo shoots, commercials, events, film, theater and live performances
learn professional make-up techniques for beauty, fashion, film and theater
assist make-up artists and hairdressers on fashion shows and shoots to perfect your skills.

At the end of this training the future make-up artist will be able to :

propose make-up and hairstyles adapted to the needs and wishes of the various parties involved (photographers, directors, actors, stylists, directors, etc.) while taking into account technical constraints
contribute to the creation of a character by creating an adapted make-up and hairstyle
create face charts, trend books and mood boards to document makeup ideas
master small special effects techniques such as wounds and small prostheses
create moustache, sideburns, goatee hairpieces and use the hair-by-hair technique
prepare a base for wig application
develop a make-up product by combining basic ingredients (water, fats, dyes, pigments…)
create make-up and hairstyles from cultural and artistic references
establish a work plan and an estimate for each project

Our make-up/hairstyling course is designed for beginners who wish to become professional make-up/hairstylists. In addition to acquiring solid theoretical knowledge, you will have the opportunity to practice your skills by doing makeup and hair sessions with experienced makeup artists and hairstylists. These hands-on sessions will allow you to perfect your technique and develop your confidence by working with industry professionals.

Studio Hairdressing Program for 1 month

MODULE 1

Discover the use and handling of styling tools: combs, rollers, heating rollers, brushes, blow dryer, foam, styling wax, etc.
Apply styling elements to a malleable head
Know how to organize your work: separations, draw a line, the installation of rollers, etc.

MODULE 2

Introduction to styling after clearing the rolls, foils (aluminum, paper).
Know how to organize your work: styling plan, work on volumes, sections, etc.
Make hairstyles on a malleable head

MODULE 3

Know the use of pliers and pins, creping and crepe laying …

Introduction to hairstyles and quick tie
Put styling elements into practice

MODULE 4

Use the hair styling elements on the model.

– Have a diploma of Bac or equivalent for an optimal training experience.

Modality : On-site

Limit of participants for an optimal experience

To ensure a quality experience, the D-mai Paris makeup school maintains a small group of 16 participants maximum. However, to ensure the viability of the training, a minimum of 6 participants is required.

Trainers

The Make-up Artist/Hairstylist training is taught by Houda Remita and other instructors who are experts in their field.

Certificate

A certificate of completion will be given to the trainee at the end of the course.

Examination

Validation of your skills by a jury of professionals during the final exam of the training, delivery of a certificate from the D-mai Paris make-up school attesting to your mastery of the techniques, know-how and skills of make-up.

Cost of the course : 10 900 €.

Terms of payment :
Deposit requested upon registration to confirm the course: 2 500 €.
First payment at the beginning of September: 2 400 €.
Second payment at the beginning of October: 2 500 €.
Third payment at the beginning of November: 2 000 €.
Fourth payment at the beginning of December: 1 500 €.
